How we use your early-access information

Who is responsible for your information

PhotoScout Limited is the controller of the personal information collected through the early-access form on this website.

Privacy enquiries can be sent by post to the registered office above.

What we collect

We collect the email address you submit, together with the signup source, consent wording version, subscription status and the dates needed to manage that subscription.

When available, we also record limited information about how you reached PhotoScout: UTM source, medium and campaign values from links we publish, and the referring website's domain. We store only the referring hostname, not the full referring URL, page path or query string.

This signup process does not intentionally store your IP address, browser fingerprint, app account, purchase information, favourites or saved shoots. We do not use tracking cookies for this attribution.

Why we use it

We use your email address to send PhotoScout launch news and occasional product updates. Our lawful basis for those communications is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

We use the limited source-attribution information to understand which channels lead people to the early-access list and to improve our launch marketing. Our basis for this limited measurement is our legitimate interest in understanding the effectiveness of our own marketing without using tracking cookies or cross-site profiling.

Joining this list does not create a PhotoScout app account and is not a condition of buying or using PhotoScout.

Where it is stored and who supports us

The early-access list is stored separately from PhotoScout app-user data in the existing PhotoScout Supabase service. The signup database is hosted in Supabase’s EU North region. Supabase processes this information to provide database and server-function infrastructure for PhotoScout Limited.

We do not sell early-access email addresses or use them for unrelated third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you remain subscribed and while it is needed for PhotoScout launch and occasional product updates. We keep the associated limited attribution information for the same period unless it is no longer needed earlier. We review the list periodically and remove information that is no longer needed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record where necessary to respect your choice and meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the method provided in a PhotoScout update or by contacting us. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask us to provide access to your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict its use or provide it in a portable form. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

To make a request, write to PhotoScout Limited at the registered office address above. We may need enough information to verify and act on your request securely.

Complaints

Please contact PhotoScout Limited first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO complaints service.

Changes to this notice

We will update the version and effective date if this early-access collection changes materially. This notice covers the website early-access list only and does not replace a broader PhotoScout app privacy notice.
